Hey @darthazlan,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

Since this issue started happening after a recent update, it's possible that it could be related to some damaged cache stored on your device that could affect the proper behavior of the app. In this case, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

We'll be on the lookout.

is there any way to enable/disable shuffle in a way that it places my queue at the location of the song in the library? ever since Spotify implemented the stupid smart shuffle feature, I can no longer disable shuffle properly and it always defaults to some random place in the library instead of at the song I stopped the shuffle at.

Before some recent updates I could disable shuffle the old way by swiping up at the notification center and tapping the shuffle button there but now even that button toggles between smart shuffle first which wastes time and ruins the queue.

Has anyone been able to figure out a similar workaround following the changes to the way the player behaves in the notification center?

Device

Xiaomi 11T

Hey there @darthazlan,

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community!

We tried this on our end, but couldn't replicate it.

When you play a playlist in shuffle, the songs' order will be randomized until you disable this feature. Once that happens, the playlist should be played from the last song you've listened to in order. You can do this even from the notification bar.

If this isn't how it works on your end, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of this happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Hey there, thanks for the reply. Here's a short recording:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rwydzYTT0y0mzCKW_dBm6jocFKIEEOyL/view?usp=drivesdk

As you'll be able to see, when I disable the shuffle by toggling between shuffle and then smart shuffle and then switching it off, the queue doesn't continue from the location of the song in the library, instead continuing from a random location in the same library.
