topic Can't download Spotify streaming history in Your Library

I requested my Spotify streaming history and extended streaming history and today I got an email saying my extended streaming history is ready to download. In the email there is a link to download the history but when I open the link it brings me to the page I requested the download saying something along the lines "you have received a link to download, check your email". It gives me the option to request a new link but it leaves me stuck in this endless loop, how to proceed? It happened before with the regular streaming history too, thought it would solve itself with the extended streaming history !

Hey @beartooth,

Thanks for reaching out.

This might sound obvious but have you checked your downloads list? Your browser might be downloading the data package without a notification.

If that's not the case, please try opening the link on a different device and let us know if the same thing happens.

Keep us posted.

Same here. At the page foot appears a small link that reads “download”. I hitted it. A link to a documment appears. When looking on files or downloads there is a documment named Spotify with non sense ginberish. The list is nowhere to find.

Hey @Rene2e,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to check, does opening the link from the email using a different device make any difference?

It's also worth double-checking so your device supports reading JSON files (for example, this could be with an extension or an app) as mentioned in this Support article.

Should you still have troubles accessing it, we recommend messaging us privately, so it can be looked into more closely backstage. You can do so by following Send us a message on this page.

We're just a post away if anything else appears!
