No longer able to rearrange songs in own created playlist

My Question or Issue

I've never had a problem with this before, but now I do. Basically, I made a playlist maybe a week or two ago, and when I made it, I misplaced a song so I did what was logical and I easily rearranged it. That was a week ago. Now I put more songs in it, and keep them in the same place to rearrange later. But when I try to rearrange them, it doesn't budge. No green underline. No green anything. My cursor just glides across the songs pointlessly. I tried reinstalling. Didn't work. Clearing the cache. Didn't work. I checked if it was on custom order. It was. I know how to rearrange the songs; by left clicking and dragging. It just doesn't work now. So now I'm confused. I was able to do it a week ago! Was the feature removed? Do I need premium now?

Oh, I also noticed something strange. It happens whenever I try to move the songs.

These buttons. These buttons up here ^^. They flicker when I try to rearrange the songs. They don't flicker multiple times, just once. Like a subtle flash.

Another thing to mention. It's not just this playlist too. I tried to move the songs on another playlist, and it also didn't work. I am now stuck. I tried everything. Keep in mind I created both these playlist and can add songs and edit the cover and text easily. There are no collaborators. I have spotify free. What do I do to fix this? Help!

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Great troubleshooting so far! I checked from my side and had no issues rearranging the songs in playlists.

As you know, you can only move/rearrange songs in playlists created by you, and it doesn't work in your 'Liked songs' playlist. We understand you already reinstalled the app, but we'd recommend running a clean reinstall by following these steps. This is a more thorough process and sometimes helps. If it doesn't, check if you can rearrange the songs from the Web Player.

Lastly, about the buttons/icons, when you move a song, those two icons actually go grey while doing it. They might be flickering quickly because of the situation.
