Podcast Your Episodes now at over 2500 episodes and cannot be deleted

My Question or Issue

I turned on auto download for a number of podcasts. I now have over 2,400 podcasts in Your Episodes and think this is affecting Spotify performance as it takes an age to navigate and user responsiveness is degraded. I have just reinstalled Spotify to find out it has maintained all of Your Episodes. I would like to completely delete all of the episodes in Your Episodes but would have to it one by one and life is too short for that. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Thanks for reaching out!

Your estimation for where the issue lies might be correct! 2400 podcast episodes are not a small number and they may cause the app to function slower than usual.
Unfortunately, for the time being, you cannot remove multiple episodes at once and you'd have to go over them one by one.

On another note, however, as the downloaded episodes take up device space, could you take a look how much you've got left?
It's possible that you're running out of storage space, which can definitely affect the performance of apps.

My device storage shows 115 GB used of 128 GB.

Spotify App storage is

APP 159 MB

DATA 1.91 GB

Cache 188 MB

Thanks for your reply and the info provided.

Were you able to remove some of the episodes? If so, let us know if the performance of the app improved after doing so. On another note, there's an option for the episodes that have already been played to be automatically removed from Your episodes. To turn it on, go to Your episodes > select the gear icon on top > Manage > Remove played episodes > select the time. You could try using this setting to avoid having multiple episodes there.
