songs are randomly disappearing from my playlists!? This seems to be becoming more common and is very frustrating as I’ve spent years building up my playlists. I know some songs get removed from Spotify and re added but this doesn’t seem to be the case! The random songs that are being removed are often still downloaded to my phone to play in offline mode but have been taken out my playlist. This is getting so annoying as it’s happening a lot! When will this be fixed!

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Just to check, are you able to play any of the songs on your phone when not using Offline Mode? Does the playlist appear in same way on any other devices that you use Spotify on?

Could you also let us know if the playlist those songs were removed from is Private or if it's a Collaborative playlist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi Maria, yes they play when I'm online and offline. This is happening in all of my private playlists

In this case, we suggest that you follow the steps below to make sure no one else has access to your account:

Log in to your account page and scroll all the way to the bottom.
Select SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE.
Request a password reset by visiting this article.

It's also worth checking the apps that are linked to your Spotify account on your account page under Apps and remove any you don't recognize. You can find out more tips on how to protect your account here.

My Question or Issue

Spotify seems to occasionally remove songs from my playlists. It isn't because the songs became unavailable or something, it's just removing them sometimes and i have to manually re-add them which is fine for smaller playlists but can be a real pain in the a-- with bigger ones. The issue doesn't seem client related though..

This is an issue i have had with my main playlist that has all songs i like, and i have noted also my liked songs has many songs that get removed, not from the songs being removed off spotify, but it just removing them off the playlist. I was looking at another playlist for example and saw many songs on a niche (gaming) playlist i have were not anymore on my "all" playlist.

it is very annoying as i have so many songs i like to hear and could lose one forever all things considered. I wasnt event 100% aware of this till today as i couldnt find a song i used to replay all the time a few years back, and then saw MANY missing. This is very irritating and upsetting for the fact i also have shared playlists with people which are also getting messed up, and I have OST ones that seem messed up too.
