Smart shuffle not letting me add songs

Whenever I put on smart shuffle and it recommends a song I like it won’t let me add the song to the playlist I’m listening to and it also feels like when smart shuffle it plays all of the songs in the same order as the last time I was using smart shuffle dispute turning it on and off.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

When Smart Shuffle plays a song you like and want to add to a playlist, you should be able to add it from the Now Playing view. The song will look like this, and you can press the Plus (+) button once to add it to the current playlist or press it twice to add it to any other playlist you want:

If you're not getting these options, we'd recommend reinstalling the app by following these steps. No worries, you won't lose any content, but you might need to download your offline music again. If that doesn't help, could you send over screenshots or a video recording of the options you get of what happens when you try to add the song to any playlist? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public.

On another note, about the Smart Shuflle playing the same songs; this situation has already been reported, and our team in charge is currently investigating it. For any news about it, we recommend following this thread. Right there, we'll let you know any updates.

Recommended songs aren't saving to liked songs

Automatic recommended songs that are added from smart shuffle are not able to be added to liked songs from the mini-player or main client by pressing on the + icon. The only way to have them save to my liked songs is to click on the song and add it directly from its album. This is a recent glitch for me.

Fix the function of adding songs?

It's been occuring for months that I cannot add songs to my playlist from smart shuffle. I've tried reinstalling it helped for a day and can confidently say it's most likely an error syncing. I have spotify on my phone, and a desktop computer and I cannot add songs on either when I'm listening to a new song. The reason I'm posting this here is because I've found no such aid to this matter. Sorry if it's wrong to post this here but I'm desperate. I love Spotify and want to keep using it but if this continues I will likely stop utilizing Spotify.

I've also been experiencing this issue with smart shuffle - the "+" button does not add songs to my liked songs, even though a message pops up saying that it added the song. The only ways I've been able to add it is to go directly to that song and add it on either the artist's page, or through the queue - hitting the three dots, and saving to liked songs.
