My Question or Issue

Songs in albums are automatically set to play in shuffle. How do I switch this off?

To turn off Shuffle mode on your mobile device, you can go to the Now Playing view and press the “crossed arrows” icon on the left such that it appears grey instead of green. The playlist will then play in Custom sort mode rather than Shuffle. You can read more about turning off Shuffle here.

Bear in mind that turning off Shuffle on a mobile device is only available with a Premium subscription. If you have the free version of Spotify, you are limited to only listening to albums (and most playlists) in Shuffle mode on your mobile device; and you'll notice that the Shuffle button doesn't appear in the Now Playing view on a mobile device with a free account.
