I wish there were more ways to explore new music.

The home page doesn't update enough or offer enough of an exploratory experience. At least for the desktop experience. And the discover weekly doesn't update on a quick enough basis. I realize "weekly" is in the title, I just think it should update like a FYP, where each time I go into it, it's updated with new ideas. And then drop the weekly, of course! Also, why is the home page so heavily podcast focused? Or is it just mine? I need more music. Don't lose the focus.

Although not all of these are visible directly on the home page, there are multiple ways to discover new music on Spotify -

The main one would be Smart Shuffle - simply press on the Shuffle icon to change the Shuffle mode into this:

When Smart Shuffle is enabled, a song suggestion will be added to your playlist every few songs!
Suggestions look like this:

Other music discovery paths worth exploring are e.g. Daily Mixes, Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Radios.

Yes, I know about all of these features. They don't update enough and only play music you've already heard.

maybe try chosic.com ? you put in songs that you like and it will recommend similar ones. you can choose the mood of the songs and what the songs are similar by. I found a lot of good songs that way 🙂
