In the updated iPhone app, how do I see recently played songs?

My Question or Issue

How do I find a list of recently played songs?

I commonly switch between listening to some music (some in playlists, some individual songs) and podcasts. I seem to have a lost the ability to see what recent music I've played - so if I haven't already "liked" or saved the song to a playlist, it is gone.

Prior to the not-so-recent big app update, this was trivial to find. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right spot post update - the new app is a UI overload on the eyes and I really don't enjoy the auto-play-everything approach.

Hey there @dm_ragewaar,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

You should be able to find the songs and podcasts you’ve listened to under the Listening history tab. Just keep in mind that if you've used a Private Session, the tracks may not always appear in the app's history. To check your recent Listening history, just follow these steps:

Tap Home.
Tap your avatar in the top-left corner.
Tap Listening history.

Another option is to open a playlist you've created > press the 3 dots > select Add to this playlist > swipe left until you see Recently played. Some of your recently played songs, albums, artists, and playlists will also appear in Home.

Should your recently played tracks and the option still not appear for you, however, feel free to send us a screenshot or video showing how things look from your end, so that we can have a look as well.

Thanks for the 3 step option provided - that worked.

In my opinion that list should be on the home tab, but know that I know where to look it is easy enough to find.
