Was wondering if there's a way to shuffle multiple artists?

The problem i'm having is that i'd like to listen to multiple artists'discographies randomly in one sitting. From what i know so far is that there's the option to visit an artists page and just hit play with the ability to shuffle. While i enjoy this feature, this usually only plays the artist selected and those that are similar within the genre, which makes sense. However, i'm not sure what to do if i wanted to listen to artists that aren't similar in the slightest. I've been told to make a playlist of each artist's entire catalog, and i have done so in the past, however it can be quite time consuming if five or more artists are wanted to be added. Plus, the sheer length of a playlist like this can be quite overwhelming. I've also added just an artist's top 50 best songs, but then i feel like i'm missing out on a lot of their other work. Being able to add specific artists and then shuffling between all the discographies, even when they are in opposing musical genres, seems very efficient to me. A feature like this may already exist, and i might just be lazy and/or ignorant, but i just thought I'd ask on here just to double check.

Currently, there's no option to shuffle multiple artists' content. However, it looks like other users would like to have this option as well and posted this idea. You can add your vote to it by clicking on the Thumbs up icon, if you'd like to have this implemented in the future.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea.

I subbed to Spotify thinking this was a paid feature, apparently not, Spotify just lacks basic functions compare to other competitors.

Just started my free trial with Spotify since I was curious how it compared to pandora and valued the more specific selections it offered (although I love the variety of pandoras suggestions too). However, after researching and discovering an artist shuffle is not available, I am forced to cancel and go back to pandora. A bit upsetting as I was excited to start messing around with the app

Hey folks!

Here are some alternatives you can try out:

Add all albums by both artists in a separate playlist and play it in Shuffle-mode - just note that you'll have to add each album manually, I'm afraid.
Start a Radio based on one of the artists - you'll get a dynamic playlist of their work mixed with other similar music suggestions. More info here.

I can't believe this is not a given feature after all this time. I've been using Spotify exclusively since 2017. I listen to a lot of music, thousands of artists. If I make playlists (which are limited to 10k songs each) of every artist I like, it would be a ton of playlists. And therefore, I wouldn't be able to shuffle them all at once. It would be nice to just add all of the artists I like to my library and have it all shuffle. Why is this so difficult??

I only listen to Spotify when I want to play my curated playlists because it lacks this feature. I like to shuffle my favorite artists and get a variety most of the time. I also like hearing stuff they've done I may have never heard. Spotify doesn't let you do that. I use it much less than Pandora because of this.

I am building an artist shuffle app that will be ready in a few weeks. It's a little different than the idea here. My idea is to pick a bunch of artists and generate a 1-song-per-artist playlist that you can "reshuffle" anytime you want.

But if you'd rather pick several artists and have it generate a playlist automatically with every song from each artist, jot that down in the feedback here. I'm sure I could make that happen:

Some people might find your answer useful! I personally want this feature, because I have over 100 000 albums I'd like to shuffle. There is no way whatsoever I'll ever manually add them all to a playlist. I'll be dead by the time I'm done.

I've wanted this feature for years. So dumb. Cause they can do it. They choose not to. Probably a billing issue in terms of how they pay labels and do batch reporting.

This feature is the primary way I listen to music, and Spotify has always been lacking in this way. This case was marked as solved and linked to another post. That link just says "access denied" for me. Hard to upvote something like that! Would definitely like to help make some momentum on this, but I dont see a pathway to do that. That makes me sad, especially as a Spotify subscriber for the past 8 years.

I will cancel my Spotify subscription if I cannot just press a button and have Spotify randomly select among my favorite artists and all of their tracks. I want a RADIO, not a RECORD PLAYER.
