My Question or Issue

Spotify is basically a music player app, right? Then why won't you let me keep one song on repeat?

Because, no matter what OS I use, iOS, macOS, Android, Windows, when I change a song, the repeat setting is always changed to playlist repeat.

I've used a lot of music players in my life, but Spotify is the one and only that resets the repeat setting every time I change a song.

Please, answer me. Is this a bug? If so, please fix it.

Is this an intended feature? If so, I will cancel my Spotify subscription.

I love Spotify in many ways, but it disappoints me.

Hey @hanarim, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

If you turn on repeat one on a song, it will only apply to the current song. It is the expected behaviour that if you switch tracks, repeat one will become repeat all.

There is already a similar idea suggested here that you can vote for. We appreciate your feedback; however, as of now, this is the expected behavior.

This is an 8-year-old issue, but Spotify still hasn't fixed it. This means Spotify has no intention of fixing this. I will just cancel it and use another service.
