topic Most of Playlist has been deleted in Your Library

Almost all the songs on one of my playlists just disappeared, and I am very upset about it because they were songs in a language I don't speak, so I can't possibly remember the names of them. I read a lot of posts about a "hide unplayable songs" setting that can be accessed in order to at least SEE the names of the songs that were no longer playable, and I watched a video as recent as 7 months ago that showed this option available. But now, looking at my own settings, it is not ANYWHERE. Is this setting gone now? Is there anyway to find the songs that were deleted? There is genuinely no way for me to remember something from a different alphabet, and those songs were rather important to me.

Hi there @LeeDraconis,

Thanks for reaching out. Don't worry, we'll be happy to help you enjoy your full library again.

Music cannot be removed from one of your own playlists on its own, so something else is up here. The songs becoming unavailable is certainly one of them, so it's a very good place to start. The setting to display unavailable content is not available on all devices, so consider checking on different ones. It's definitely available on the mobile app for both iOS and Android under "Settings -> Content & Display -> Show unplayable songs". Make sure it's on and check if the songs are still there, albeit greyed out.

If that doesn't do it, most likely there is some sort of sync issue causing the contents of the playlists to appear incorrectly. Consider checking what you see across different devices and the web player, especially the later as it has the most direct connection to the servers. If you see the songs on some devices but not others, consider performing a clean reinstall on the affected device to clear any damaged cache,

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Joan, thanks for the help.

I was able to find the option, but upon enabling it nothing changed, even in the web browser: The songs unavailable songs are just completely absent rather than greyed out

Hey there @LeeDraconis,

Thanks for your reply.

Would you mind checking if those songs are missing from your playlist across devices?

Also, could you try logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row? This will trigger a sync between your account and devices.

If you're still unable to find the songs, we suggest that reach out to our Support team here so they can take a closer look and further assist you with this.

Hope this helps. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
