My Question or Issue

If I delete my account accredited with my student ID, will Spotify delete the photo or other info regarding my studentship? I know that I can't open another account before 1 year with my student ID, but that's not the issue.

Student verification is handled by SheerID, so I’d reach out to them following these steps if you have questions related to verification of your student status. Regarding your Spotify account, you can follow these steps if you wish to delete your account. Keep in mind that you can always cancel your Premium Student subscription and rejoin later if you choose, as long as you’re still an active student and have not renewed four times already.

That's not what I asked. Does Spotify keep my data, which was used to prove that I'm a student, even after I delete my account?

Hey @hardnut21,

Like mentioned, proving that you are student is done through a verification process conducted by SheerID. You can reach out to them in regards to the verification process and what happens with that verification. When you close your account, your personal information is also deleted. I have attached a link that includes your data rights and privacy choices.

So, SheerID manages all verification, but Spotify ensures that your account is verified through them to enable Premium Student for you. That info would be deleted after your close your account.
