topic Save vertical scroll position for playlists, so we don't have scroll every damn time in Your Library

Sometimes playlists are long and you listen to a certain section of one for a period. If you view another playlist, close the app or switch to another view the scroll position reverts to the top. Always.

I want Spotify to save vertical scroll position to playlists on all platforms.
(And maybe add a Jump to bottom-button while you're at it.)

Playlist Vertical Scroll Position Not Preserved After Using Search Bar

During the rollout of the new search bar design on desktop several months ago, a bug was introduced which would cause your vertical scroll position on an open playlist to be lost when you start typing in the search bar and the search result page loads.

It seems that as the search results page is loading, the playlist page you searched from will automatically reset its scroll position to the top of the playlist page. This occurs when you search, since the scroll position does seem to be preserved until you actually type something into the search bar, and it loads the results page. I don't know of any other sequence of operations that resets the scroll position.

This is on the Spotify desktop application for Windows 11. I just tried in the web browser on Edge and Chrome and the bug is there, too, not just for playlists either but for pages in general, even the home page.

Hey @Mekael_Wasti!

Thanks for reaching out and reporting this.

Just so you know, we were able to replicate this too and have already passed it on to the tech team for a closer look. We can’t promise a specific timeline for a fix, but keeping your app updated is the best way to catch any changes as soon as they roll out.

We'll be here if you have any questions!
/Mateus

Double fenêtre de lecture et de recherche

Bonsoir,

Cordialement

Nathalie
