Question or Issue

For some reason after about 1000 songs being added into a playlist, the little section at the bottom where spotify recommends songs to add starts to break. It'll begin with duplicate options. Then it goes to either all one or two options. Finally it simply says "Try adding some music to your playlist to get recommendations". So here I am 2000 songs in and wondering if it can be fixed.

First, we'd like to get more info about this behavior:

Does it happen in a playlist in specific or do you have more than one where this happens?
Does it happen in just one device? If you haven't, check from your mobile device or PC.
Would you mind sending us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
Just to check, does it happen with playlists where you have less than 1.000 songs added?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply!

In 2025 i have still the issue buddies, I have added tons of new songs into an old playlist but Spotify does not give me new suggestions,

Guys I found out the only way apparently is to separate some genres of songs you keep suggestion from in your playlist, I had some piano songs in playlist of pops and all the time just piano suggestions were showing up to add. I separated piano songs to another playlist, and I am now getting new suggestions for pop ones

Hey folks.

We've tried to replicate the issue after the latest update, and it seems that the recommendations are not suggesting duplicated songs anymore. Bear in mind that the recommendations may still include live or different versions of the same songs.

If you're still having this issue, we'd recommend making sure your app is updated to its latest version and even performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps mentioned in this article.

In case the behavior persists, include in your next response the OS version of your device and the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating this.

We'll be on the lookout.

My Question or Issue

hello! apologies if this has already been answered, but i cannot find a solution. i was making a playlist and i went to add recommended songs to it at the bottom, and after a few refreshes (because it showed the same 3-5 songs over and over) it only showed me one song. i tried to refresh multiple times, i restarted the app, and it was still only that song. after i added the song to my playlist, the section completely disappeared. it works okay on my other playlists, other than when it only shows me the same few songs every time i refresh, but this one it is completely broken on. i've checked the website player and the app on android and it's gone on all platforms. this is a video of my problem, apologies for it being hosted elsewhere, but it exeeded the file limit on here and i couldn't insert it: https://streamable.com/givsue

Try refreshing a few times, switching between playlists or restarting the app. I'm having the same issue today, and the "recommended" tab seems to be just randomly appearing or not appearing.
