Finding a list of greyed out songs from your Like Playlist?

Is there a way to see what songs have been removed from Spotify that were on my liked songs playlist? I've noticed quite a few songs missing and there doesn't seem to be any way to see what songs they were. Am I missing something? These seem to exist on playlists.

As of now there is no way to get a list of those unavailable items. However, are these songs only grayed out in the liked songs playlist?

Ideally, if the content is unavailable it should not be playable in any playlist including the liked songs. 🙂

Liked Songs itself shows no grayed-out tracks.

However, if I visit certain artist pages, Spotify shows that I have liked songs by them and those songs appear grayed out and unavailable. That suggests Spotify still retains the relationship between my account and those tracks.

Is that data really only visible on individual artist pages? There doesn’t seem to be any centralized way for a user to see which liked tracks have become unavailable.

Without that visibility, how is a user supposed to rediscover or even be aware of music they previously liked but is no longer licensed? Manually checking artist pages one by one doesn’t seem practical, especially for long-term users with large libraries.

Is this a known limitation, or something other users have raised as well?

Thanks posting for on the Community! Hope you don't mind us chiming in as well 🙂

To follow up on what @Amay said, we can confirm that there isn't a specific list in the app which displays unavailable tracks. However, a feature which might come in handy in your case is Show unplayable songs.

When this is toggled on, unavailable tracks that you've previously saved should show up where you've added them in your playlists. Keep in mind that the songs will be grayed out and won't be playable. Just follow these steps to make sure it's switched on:

Head over to the mobile app.
Go to Settings and privacy.
Scroll to Content and display.
Under Content Preferences, toggle on Show unplayable songs.

Should the tracks only be missing from your Liked Songs, it's also worth checking so you haven’t accidentally set a specific filter on the mobile app. Feel free to have a look at this page for more details on filters.

Another thing which comes to mind, are all tracks grayed out for you on certain artist profiles? If so, we can suggest having a look so the artist is allowed play. To do this, open the artist page > click on the 3 dots > select Allow this artist to play.
