Spotify in my Tesla

Sounds like our problem is easier to solve. We have 2 teslas and, when I'm playing Spotify and my husband starts using Spotify in his car, it knocks me off. I just checked and we have a premium individual account. I'm guessing if I upgrade to a premium DUO account, we can solve this issue. Does that sound correct?

Yes, that’s correct. Spotify is intended for personal, non-commercial use hence why you’re unable to listen on multiple devices under the same account at the same time. In your case, it will be best to switch to the Premium Duo plan, which is perfect for couples that live under the same household.

Premium Duo works where one person is responsible for the payment however two accounts are included under that same plan. This means he will have is own Spotify account, and you will have your own account under one plan (so that will prevent interruption of your content). A little different scenario here: We have one Tesla and currently we are using Duo. When ever my wife starts to play music at her work, the same music starts playing in the car. We thought that the duo would solve this problem.

Her app always initially automatically shows "playing in Tesla" or something like that.

Super annoying.

Hey @Kannu,

Thanks for your post. Premium Duo works when each member is connected to the plan with their own Spotify account. It sounds like you two are on the same Spotify account while listening. To fix this, the plan member (whoever subscribed to Premium Duo) needs to send an invite to the other member following these steps. Once the other member accepts the invite, they will be prompted to log in. From there, they are connected to your plan.

The main difference with Premium Duo is that two members are connected to the same plan, thus making the plan cheaper per month. More info on how Premium Duo works here.
