Hi everyone, I'd like to report an issue regarding the Pick & Play feature, which was introduced by Spotify on September 15, 2025. This feature allowed Free users to select and play specific songs without being limited to shuffle mode, making the listening experience much more flexible and enjoyable.

However, I've noticed that Pick & Play was never available in my app, and I can't find any official information about why it isn't available for me . All of my friends have this option. It would be a really useful feature, especially for those of us who don't have a Premium subscription.

I've tried to remove and reinstall the app, but it won't come out, I' ve chatted with two members of the support team, and they couldn't solve this problem.

It would be great to know if there's any way to make it available for me too, or if there's a way to send direct feedback to the Spotify team. Thanks for your attention!

Thanks for reaching out!

In this case, I’d suggest forcing a sync by logging out and back in twice from your account to see if that helps. If the issue continues, you can try creating a new account (with a different email) just to test if the Pick and Play feature appears there. If it does, you can transfer your content to the new account by following these steps.

Hi, folks,

Jumping in here to with some clarifications on what's expected with the recently refurbished experience for free users on mobile.

When it comes to playlists/albums, what's changed is that users can now pick and play and song they want, however, the rest of the track list will continue in Shuffle mode.

i really appreciated when spotify made the change in september to allow free users to pick songs they want to play, now they removed that feature. it seems like a cash grab to me and i'm not buying premium. it just makes me not want to use spotify anymore. was this supposed to make more users want to buy premium?

caramba, Spotify! essa nova atualização está simplesmente HORRÍVEL!!!! é uma injustiça isso de só quem possui o Premium poder fazer escolha das músicas que quer ouvir.

sinceramente, é decepcionante.

sou usuária do Spotify desde 2023 e o plano free era ótimo, achei ridícula essa nova ideia de vocês. De verdade.

quem não tem condições de pagar o Premium se frustra, vocês tão passando fome? porque tudo agora tem que ser pago.

estou pensando até em desinstalar o app porque está muito ridículo.

sei que os usuários pagarem um plano do app é necessário para vocês, mas tirar o direito de quem não paga de escolher a música? sacanagem de verdade.

tirem logo essa atualização, por favor!
