Events in "Your Library" can only be removed via mobile app - not desktop/laptop.

All devices have the latest available version of the spotify application on each respective platform.

My Question or Issue

I previously saved an event to my library, ended up not going to the event and forgot about it, it is now stuck to the sidebar and there is no way to delete the event through the Spotify app on any of the desktop platforms (MacOS, Windows, Linux), tried dragging it, right clicking does not show a "delete option" (see image) nor the event page itself.

However, on my iPhone 13 mini, opening the event shows a "saved" button, which can be clicked, successfully removing the event from the sidebar, i rarely listen to music on my phone and dont even have the spotify app installed on my phone - until i downloaded the app in a desperate attempt to remove the event, which turned out to be the solution.

It cannot be intended design for events to only be manageable from the mobile platform, right?

If this is not the place to make technical error reports, then please point me in the right direction, this forum was the closest thing to an error report i managed to find.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We're really glad you could sort this out. We appreciate your feedback in the experience of managing past events on the app. As per now, we also noticed there is another way in the mobile app to remove those events. You can go to your library on a phone to locate the event and tap and hold it until you see a pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen in which you'll see the option Remove from Your Library.

We understand this is not ideal if you don't use the app on a mobile phone. Your feedback is very important to us, because it helps us make future decisions. Will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

To answer your question, yes, this is the right place to report any technical issues you might encounter with the app, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need some help.

When I tap and hold the event, there is an option to pin the event, but there is no other option. No way to remove it. My library view is littered with past events that I cannot remove. Please advise.

Hello. Same here. I want to delete events from library, I follow the procedure as describe above, but I only have pin/upin options for the event. No remove possibility. I use iOS.

Thanks for your reports and apologies for the delayed response.

We can confirm that you should be able to remove past events using the mobile app. If you're not seeing any option to do so, could you send over the following info:

The make, model and OS version of the affected device
The exact Spotify app version you're currently running
If possible, a screenshot of what you're seeing from your end (make sure to exclude any personal info from it)

We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
