Finished podcasts missing?

Hi team,

I'm almost certain it was after the recent, "Your All-Time Top Songs" feature rolled out last week, I appear to have lost all my 'finished' status' on both of the podcast I frequently listen to...

The little green tick is missing on all of my old listened too pods. They're still in my Library. Weird. At first I thought it was just a network or sync issue on my phone whilst I was out but I checked when I got home and it was the same on my tablet and PC.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Perhaps there was a temporary hiccup in the backend. It's worth trying to log out and then logging back in twice in a row. This will trigger an internal refresh of the app which may help here.

Could you also confirm if manually marking the episodes as finished works? Does the behavior persist after restarting the app/affected device?

Thanks Paula! I've tried the double logout thing after seeing it mentioned on another forum. It doesn't appear to have worked on my main Android device... I just find it weird that my played podcast history is missing on all of my used devices.

Thanks for the reply.

Can you confirm if listening to a new episode all the way properly marks it as finished? What about marking it as finished manually as @Paula_Vi suggested? Consider checking how things look on the web player as well.

Final update everyone; so all new podcasts listened to, since the 'incident' are fine - marked as finished when I'm done etc. But all my previously played ones appear like I've never listened to them 😔

Worst things happen at sea I guess? I'm at peace with it now 😀
