topic Offline songs in Your Library

My Question or Issue

A recent update has changed how liked songs work when offline. Usually I turn WiFi off when I’m listening to songs in my car because I find that my songs play better - I have all the songs downloaded that I like so usually this isn’t a problem. Unfortunately, now when I visit an artists page when I’m offline, it changes from ‘liked songs’ to ‘songs available offline’. Instead of it just being songs that I’ve liked from a particular artist, it adds a load of other songs from that artist from that same artist LP that I haven’t even liked. It’s irritating because instead of having a curated list of my favourite songs from an artist, there’s now a bunch of songs I now have to go through that I don’t like. In some cases, there’s about 15 songs I’ve liked and downloaded from a particular artist, then when I go offline, Spotify adds 10s of other songs to the list that I now have to go through, just to listen to the songs I like. Is there any way around this? The only other way I can think of to make a curated offline list for an artist, seems to be making a playlist for every single one, which would be a major headache. Thanks in advance.

Hey there @CaptAstro24!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We really appreciate your feedback!

At the moment, this is the expected behavior. As a workaround, you could download your entire Liked Songs playlist and listen to it directly, or create a playlist with just the songs you'd like to keep offline from a specific artist and download that instead.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your suggestion! We'll be here in case you have more questions.
/Mateus
