Playback pauses randomly

I’m having a different issue where it stops playing music every 6 seconds now. A couple weeks ago it was really random so I never noticed it, but now it’s getting to the point where I’m thinking of not using Spotify. Nothing has fixed it. I have the iPhone 16 and it happens whether I play it over Bluetooth, aux cord, or just on my phone’s speakers. I’ve tried everything suggested and nothing has helped. Spotify is completely up to date too.

I'm having a similar issue, but the pausing doesn't happen at the 3 minute mark, it happens randomly, sometimes every few seconds. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, clearing the cache, changing battery settings to unrestricted, taking power saving mode off and nothing has worked. It happens with both music and audio books. Sometimes it will go hours without stopping and other times it will stop consistently. Usually listening via Bluetooth- either earphones, amazon speaker or the car. Happens with all 3. I have a Samsung S23 and spotify is fully up to date

The same is happening to me on my Dell notebook. I've tried everything, but the problem persists. What a great shame that people who pay end up with way more problems than people who have a pirated version of Spotify.

It seems the issues you're having are different from the ones recently resolved in the Ongoing Issue, so we've moved all your comments here so we can assist you further.

So we can narrow down the exact issue, if you haven't already, could you please let us know the following:

Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
When did this start happening?
The exact makes, models and OS versions of all your affected devices
The exact Spotify Versions you use.
Does this happen on different networks? Try using different Wi-Fi networks and mobile data.
If possible, could you log in using a different account and see if the same happens? You can use the account of someone you know or make one yourself.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Samsung S23
Android version:16
One UI 8.5

I believe both my phone and Spotify app are fully up to date

Problem began around1-2 months ago. I only really use Spotify on the one
device (my phone). Have tried using Spotify without connecting to a
Bluetooth decice i.e. headphones and the issue still persists so it doesn't
seem to be an issue with that.

Problem seems to be completely random - I was using Spotify for several
hours while I was working yesterday and it didn't stop once. I went for a
walk after work and it stopped about 5 times during one song.

It happens both on wifi and mobile data - and also on downloaded
songs/audiobooks so I don't think it's a network issue.

Let me know if you need more info or have any suggestions of other things
to try
