Every second song plays when I skip

So my issue has been occuring for at least 3 weeks now. I will be listening to a song on my playlist and I will skip to the next song, but that song then does not play. I then skip again to the next song and it plays. This is happening with all of my playlists. I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling Spotify and the issue still persists. Perhaps there is a setting of some kind or a known issue?

That's odd.

Are you using Windows as your operating system?

If yes, this issue is already under investigation. Be sure to check and +Vote on this ongoing issues thread to get more details on it.

This issue is happening on my Andriod phone as well as my Amazon Fire Tablet. I haven't used Spotify on my Windows PC

Hmmm, ok that makes it different.

Are these just random songs that will not play or are these local files by any chance?

I'm not sure what you mean by local songs..sorry if I'm ignorant. They are not random songs just every second song on my playlist, downloaded to my phone. I hope this answers your question.
