Hey, I'm having some trouble getting into spotify. I forgot that I had an account already, and I went to sign up today and clicked the "Signup with Facebook" button. It tells me
> email_already_exists
and then redirects to a 404 page. Not an ideal error message, but ok.
So, since I apparently have an account already, I go to sign in and I click the "Log in with Facebook" button, approve spotify, and then get told
> "You do not have a Spotify account connected to your Facebook account. If you have a Spotify account, please log in with your Spotify credentials. If you do not have a Spotify account, sign up."
So, I try logging in with my username (nfriedly) or email (email address removed) and few different passwords, give up, and try the password reset form. I type in my email address, click the button, and it says...
> "It looks like you are using your Facebook credentials to log in to Spotify. To change your Facebook password go to your settings page at facebook.com."
Huh?
So I try with my username, click the button, and patiently wait. 30+ minutes later, still no email.
I also tried signing up but of course was told that both my username and email were taken. I eventually created a new account with a different username and email so that I could post here, but I'd really like my "real" one back.
Before posting here, I went through all the steps a second time just to make sure it wasn't a one-time fluke. Same errors again.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

Ok, got things resolved. Spotify support found my old account but couldn't get it working either, so they just coppied everything over from it into this one.
I asked about getting the "nfriedly" username back also, but apparently that belongs to a paying member who isn't me.. whoops.
Sorry for trying to reset your password several times nfriedly.
I don't think I've ever seen "my" username taken by anone besides me...
could you please,help me out- im having the same problems u were having,and im clueless on how to fix the problem ,so if u don't mind could u please give me step by step instructions on how to resolve this problem
