Charged £9.99 for promotional free month on Premium

I have just signed up for the promotional free Spotify premium for the first month. However I have been charged £9.99 by direct debit, DESPITE my online account details saying £0.00 and that I will not be charged until the renewal on 25/10/16. How do I get this refunded?

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase?
 
If you didn't get any email receipt, sometimes the amount gets 'on hold' even if the charge doesn't go through. Normally the amount gets back to your bank account a day or two later.

 

In any case, you should contact customer support through this contact form. They'll help you sort things out. They take, at the most, 24 hrs to get back to you. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

 

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
