Free for existing users?

I've seen adverts saying that Spotify is now free for everyone, including those using the service on a computer. Is this available to those already using Spotify on a computer? If so, how do I change my account so I don't have to pay anymore? Or do I need to make a new account to get out of paying?

Spotify free is now available without time limits in the majority of countries around the world, including access on tablets and mobile devices (mobile devices do have some other restrictions with Spotify free though). Spotify free on all platforms does have visual and audio advertising. 

If you wish to cancel and go back to Spotify free, just follow the steps in this help page.
