Spotify Connect - Account issue?

Hello.

 

I am having an issue with Spotify Connect, specifically on my household premium account. On my account (logging in via both Android and PC) my Samsung Multi-room speakers do not show up as an option for Playback. However if my housemate logs into his account on the same phone/PC and network they show up and can play music.

 

I can only put this down to some sort of account issue rather than hardware/network. I have tried reinstalling both Spotify and Samsung but no luck. 

 

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

Spotify connect

 

Reasons why it might not be connecting:

1: Something wrong with Spotify account.

2: Something wrong with Bluetooth / Wifi connection.

3: Something wrong with phone hardware.

 

Troubleshooting 

 

If speakers are connected via WiFi:

Exit Spotify and go to settings > wifi and select your speakers. Then go back into Spotify and it should hopefully play out of your speakers.

 

If speakers are connected via Bluetooth:

Exit Spotify and go to settings > Bluetooth and select your speakers. Then go back into Spotify and it should hopefully play out of your speakers.

 

Other tips if still not working:

1. Make shore speakers are on, in range and ready to connect.

2. Make shore no one else is trying to connect to speakers before trying to connect.

3. Make shore Bluetooth / Wifi is on.

 

If all these tips don't work, I'm sorry but there is nothing else I can think of.
