3 devices

3 devices

Keep getting a msg that I have more than 3 devices, so I can't go offline and use spotify without resyncing. Does that "3 devices" include my computer? We have 3 ipods and a computer.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Yes it does.

Spotify will only allow you to store offline content on 3 devices, with a maximum of 3,333 tracks per device. You can however sign in and use your account on as many devices as you like, the restriction is only for offline content.

Two Questions: ------- 1.) Is there any reason why this message would pop up when I only have two devices to sync on? I've made sure on countless occasions that I only use two iPhones to keep music offline on, yet randomly, and without warning, I still get this message. It's very frustrating, and I've been left without my music altogether, because I travel to remote sites where streaming isn't an option. ------- 2.) Is there any way the 3,333 song limit will ever be able to be upgraded? I listen to a tremendous variety of music, comedy, etc., and would like a limit to be in the tens of thousands of tracks. Will this ever be an option? Thanks, Devin

1. Desktops count too as far as downloads go. If this still doesn't add up, you can ask for devices to be reset here.

2. I suspect this limit was agreed some time in the distant past with publishers. There's a request for this to be changed in the ideas exchange. Go add your support!
