30-day Free Trial Subscription

30-day Free Trial Subscription

Hi,

I signed up to spotify last tuesday.

Today is the last day for my 7-day free premium trial.

In order to get an extra 30-day free premium, I clicked on Try Premium for Free and updated my credit card information.

But here is what I see in my online profile:

Subscription status

Your Spotify Premium subscription will be automatically renewed on 2014-12-02 and charged 9.99 CAD + Sales tax, unless you cancel your subscription before that time.

I don't understand, can anybody help?

Hi, my problem was solved.

I think that the system just needed a few hours to be up to date.

In the meantime, I got a reply from the customer service confirming that everything was OK.

It is the second time that I experience some temporary problems, but overall, I must admit that I'm satisfied with Spotify, I haven't paid anything yet and I can make the most of more music that I could ever listen to.

Moreover, customer service was great. Even if the "problem" was just a matter of time, I appreciated their taking the time to send me a message.

Hi @_ando and welcome to the community 🙂

It appears the 30-day free trial didn't apply correctly. I suggest you get in touch with customer services using the Support Form - however you may be charged before that happens.

It may be that the system is being slow, however I don't see that as likely - if you don't want to risk it, I suggest you cancel the subscription now and wait for a response from customer services 🙂

Hi Liam, thanks for your reply!

When I visit my profile, the button I can still click on the big green "Try Premium for free" button.

But when I do so, it tells me that "Unfortunately, there is no support at the moment to make this type of change to your subscription. Contact our customer service team who can help you further."

I've contacted the support team, but still no reply from them.

I've not cancelled my subscription yet.

In that case @_ando, it'll be best to wait for a response from the customer services team. They generally take a maximum of 24 hours to respond (they're based in England, I believe).
