"Hi ,
Can we tempt you back with 2 free months of Premium? This is our best offer ever and it’s on for a limited time. But don’t wait too long, you’ll need to redeem by Sunday, November 3rd*."
Click the link, pop in my info...
"We're sorry, you've been a Premium user in the past, so you don't qualify for this offer"
What? Doesn't "Can we tempt you back?" sort of imply that I'd previously been a paying member?
I've grown used to getting spammed with offers for a 'free' month that I wasn't elegible for, writing them off as part of the cost of using Spotify Free, but this takes the cake.
If I wanted something to populate my e-mail with click-bait-and-switch links, I'd subscribe to the Fox News / HuffPo newsletters.

Ah sorry, needless to say my brain is melted today! Been doing too much maths 😛
The best thing to do in that case is get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they can check this out for you. If its a mistake on Spotify's side (and my guess is it is) then they will be more than happy to rectify it for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi @bergmann620 and welcome to the community 🙂
Who sent the email? I've never seen such an email before...
It does seem rather silly, so I shall escalate it to staff 🙂
Liam
The mail would appear to be from Spotify. I have attached an image of the message.
Any clarification on who would be eligible? Tempting someone back seems to imply that they had been there in the first place, which I had been.
I also just accepted the 60-day trial via that email I received this morning, but when I got my receipt, it says my trial is now only for 30 days. I tried again to redeem the 60-day offer and now says I am ineligible to receive the free trial since I am a current Premium subscriber. I had never previously been a Premium subscriber until just moments ago. Help?

Strange, what is the next bill date shown on your online account?

That is tomorrow right!? That sounds like a 48 hour free trial too!
Your "real" free trial will start after that, so might be worth checking back tomorrow and see what it says.

It's one month / 30 days from now (12/1/13). This is the message I got on my receipt:
You have an active Spotify Premium subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged $9.99 on 2013-12-01 unless you cancel your recurring payment.

I've exceeded my 10 hour hour limit now listening to youtube!
I'm lost for words.

I'm have "unlimited" plan and when I click on that "start free trial" button it just gets me into my account profile without any sign of a promo or saying I'm not eligible.
Actually I just realized this email is not the one I use for my primary account, oh well.
I also received the 60-day trial offer which the email said was available until Nov 3. That is today. I clicked on the mail to sign up and it states that offer has ended, but I can sign up for 30-days. Maybe things are running on Euro time and it's all an honest error, but right now it's still Nov 3 in the US. Not a great experience for someone who is considering paying for the service.
I received the same email and have not paid or had a trial and when I clicked through late this evening (Sunday, November 3rd) I got a message saying the offer was closed but I could still take the 30-day trial. It makes me wonder if the 60-day trial was really available anyway, or, if it was, why it closed before the end of the advertised time period.
Wondering about the wording of the email, in my eyes "Redeem by Sunday 3rd November" could mean the offer ended at 23:59 on Saturday 2nd November.

I believe the offer should've been redeemable all day on Sunday, although it's possible there was some confusion around timezones.
The 60-day trial was only available to anyone who hadn't had a Premium or Unlimited subscription before and who received the email. If you got the email, hadn't had a subscription previously and tried to redeem on Sunday or before, get in touch here and one of our support team will get back to you as soon as they can.
I received an email via Paypal for 60 days free trial. Validity if subscription before 28/2/2014.
I subscribed today 17/2 and received confirmation for 30 days free trial !!!
What can I do to get the right offer?
Thanks in advance for your help
