Account Disabled - after incorrectly unauthorizing Spotify payment on my credit card

Account Disabled - after incorrectly unauthorizing Spotify payment on my credit card

Hi all,

I accidentally flagged a Spotify monthly charge on my credit card statement as unauthorized. This prompted an email notification from Spotify saying my account had been disabled. Since then, I spoke to my credit card provider and reinstated the payment. As of today, the payment has posted - meaning Spotify should have gotten the money. However, I still get the Error 3 message when I try to log in.

Anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this? I've tried contacting Spotify, but the automatically generated suggest links are entirely unhelpful in this situation.

I need my tuneees!!

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hey @mcrevilo,

If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

Hi Maxim,

Below is the message I received in an email.
"We’ve now returned the funds, and disabled your Spotify account. Your payment provider recently recalled an unauthorised payment for Spotify Premium.

If you have any questions about this, please contact your payment provider directly."

I responded to a different email from Spofity support after they directed me to links on the site, but they did not get back to me.

Any suggestions?

Hello @mcrevilo,

I've found your case and I can see it's already assigned to the right folks. Our Payments team will be in touch with you as soon as they can, and thanks for your patience 🙂
