Account Disabled, someone claimed same payment details

Account Disabled, someone claimed same payment details

Hi, I tried to login to my spotify yesterday on my phone under the username "meolox" to repeated error messages. I emailed spotify support and received an email back saying: 

 

Your Spotify account has been disabled and put under investigation, because we were informed that the payment details registered on your account belong to someone else who has been in contact with us.

Given the circumstance, we can unfortunately not enable your account at the moment.

 

 

I have no idea what's going on, this is my account, my payment has come straight out my bank account for a long time now and I have the bank account statements to back it up. 

 

Is someone trying to gain access to my account or my payment details? I hope I'm not the victim of some sort of scam here. This happened to anyone else?

 

I've replied back to the email but I'm hoping someone here can help me.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

 

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
