My Question or Issue

I need to provide my new audio streamer (which runs on a custom Volumio OS) with my Log in User ID and password. My account is a family premium plan. I use Facebook to log into my account on my phone and pc. For this new device, I need to type in the Username and password. What username do I use (Spotify or email) and what password do I use? Is it the Facebook password?

Can you please provide the type of device you're trying to connect to ?

The reason i ask is that Spotify might already have a help page for your device.

The device is by Stack Audio and is called The Link.

Thanks for providing the name!

 

Please make sure to first log in to the device itself with your own created credentials for it (not you Spotify ones) and then link the 2 through the device settings and your Spotify settings.

 

If you can provide screenshots it'll even make it easier to understand.

I have no problem logging into the device and getting it to play music from
my pc music library or internet radio. The only issue at the moment is
getting it to log into my Spotify account. As said I'm a member of a
Premium Family account and use my Facebook to log into my account on
Spotify for all my devices but I don't have that option on the audio
streamer's menu.

I attach 2 screen shots. The first one is the main music selection feed
options. If Spotify is connected, the option for selecting Spotify should
appear with the Spotify icon on this page. The second screenshot shows the
menu for entering the Spotify credentials but I don't know what to enter
here since I usually just select the "connect with Facebook" button on all
other devices like my phone, pc, mac etc.

Further, it might be worth creating a device password from your Facebook security settings, and then use that to log in.
