I cancelled my spotify account back in august this year . Then I upgraded my vodafone account and had spotify added to the account for free so why was their a payment taken from my account on the 16th of this month

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase? Search for it in your email account. In it, the Spotify username you're paying for is shown:


Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

If you're getting charged, it probably means you're paying a different account. Checking your receipts is a way to confirm that.


Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.


After that, check the status of your subscription. It should read 'Your subscription is associated with our partner vodafone'.


If your subscription appears differently, your Vodafone account in not linked to that Spotify account.
