Account connected to Facebook but not sharing information

My Question or Issue

Hello,

I have quite a common problem: when I created the account, I connected it to my Fcebook account, but now my username on Spotify is an id number, the profile image is not updated with my Facebook profile picture and Spotify can't even find my Facebook friends.

I have tried to disconnect and reconnect Spotify and Facebook both from Spotify app and from the Facebook preferences. I also tried to reinstall Spotify, but nothing canged.

Another strange thing I've seen is that my Spotify id on Facebook is different from the one shown in the Spotify app.

I wold really like to reconnect somehow the two accounts. Thanks in advance!

If you created your Spotify account with Facebook, I'd recommend you to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username, independent of any Facebook account.
Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them) to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your Facebook after the switch.
