Account for daughter

So according to the terms, a person has to be 18 yrs or older to create an account, but it also stated that with permission a person of 12 yes or older can make an account. How am I able to do this for my daughter? Everytime I try I'm getting 'does not meet requirements'.

To set up a Spotify account for your daughter, try using your date of birth instead. It should work like a charm.

In a few years, if she's still using Spotify, she can update the account's date of birth and account information anytime by logging in here, and editing the profile.
