Account information changed and potentially compromised

Account information changed and potentially compromised

Well look at me, I'm late to the party, a rather infuriating one might I add.

Today I woke up after a long week of work and overtime to get home and find I had to login again to spotify. Was fine, I log in with facebook so I got in easily without any questions, but later today I got an email, which made me realize why I had to log in again, my spotify account email had been changed.
After some well deserved confusion, I checked the rest of my account, and that well deserved confusion turned into even more deserved panick. About 90% of my information had been changed, only thing that hadn't was my payment info, postal code and country, though for some reason I was set at California (I'm from Canada).  After some googling in hopes to find that spotify just gets confused and switches info around sometimes, that panic was well deserved enough that I'm no longer a premium spotify user and I'm considering deleting my account all together.

So spotify, an email saying, hey, some accounts might've been breached and you should just be extra safe. Might have been KIND OF NICE.

My password, even though I never have one, has changed, and that means I can't change any of this info, the most I have the power to is to yell at people in hopes something is done or just delete my account all together. Thankfully I was able to stop my subscription so whatever kids out there are using my account for premium both got logged out of all my accounts (cause I did that too) and no longer have premium.

If someone can potentially help me get my account back and somehow magically reassure me that my account info, location, name, facebook and payment info haven't been potentially taken for other uses than just to access my account, then I'll happily accept any help possible. I'm hoping deleting my account isn't the safest option, but it sure feels like it.

And yes, I've emailed the email that was attached to the message telling me my account info has changed.

Hey @SkTChris,

I highly recommend reaching out to Spotify through one of the channels below. They can look into this for you.

Contact form: http://bit.ly/SpotifyCFA (Make sure you're logged out of any Spotify accounts while using the form)

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 48 hours.
