My Question or Issue

My daughter has a new phone, cant remember her spotify password. She knows her username.

The email linked to her username is my husbands, and he also has his own spotify account linked to that email. 

So when daughter is requesting password reset it is sending husbands account to reset not hers.

How do we access her account?

Can you ask your daughter to try resetting her password here, and enter the username when asked? When the email gets sent to your husband, open it and see if the username in that email matches the one your daughter entered. If it does, then click the link in that email so that she can reset her password.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

If the username that your daughter has entered in the password reset form matches the one from the email that your husband received after requesting the password reset, then it's safe to proceed 🙂

This would change the password of the right account, so your daughter can log in with her username and new password. She can even change the email address to her own on her account page later.
