My Question or Issue

I made my spotify account about a year ago (using VPN). Recently I reinstalled my OS and lost all my saved logins. When I tried resetting my password today using the same email id I used to register, I got directed to a link that was not my account. The username had changed to some randomly generated string and was pretty much a new account. How do I recover my old account and playlists?

Do you still remember your username? Can you try resetting your password using it?
