Account won't link with Facebook

I had a spotify free account and decided to upgrade to premium. I made the mistake of upgrading on my phone at first, and I accidentally signed up for a new account using my facebook. I deactivated that account and have since upgraded my original account, but now I can't link with my facebook because it says the facebook is already associated with another account. I just want my spotify and facebook to be linked with one account together. Thanks for any help!

You should contact Spotify support directly and ask them to completely close that account, you can do that here. If you get an automated reply just reply directly to that email and you should get a response soon.
