My Question or Issue

While listening to a podcast i am getting ads in the middle of the episode. This podcaster has always had a plug at the beginning of their podcast for all of their sponsors that they read themselves. This is the first time i have seen or heard an ad in the middle of their podcast in 1500 episodes that is not even from anyone that sponsors them. What am i paying for premium for if i am getting ads, it seems like a waste of money to pay for an ad free experience but still get ads.

What you are hearing are not ads implemented by Spotify, there is a tool which podcasters can use which create ads similar to the ones that Spotify have on the free tier and they can change, alternate and appear wherever the podcaster has chosen to put these.

Spotify has no control over these as this is something done by the creators of the Podcast that you are listening to. I will pass your feedback to the right teams at Spotify regarding this experience for consideration in the future.
