After reinstalling Spotify all playlists are gone!

After reinstalling Spotify all playlists are gone!

Today Spotify turned to offline mode and I couldn't turn it to online, so I reinstalled it. Now all my playlists are gone! How to recover them?

Oh, great, I've just taken a look and Spotify turned offline again. No playlists and no online mode, just great. Hope you know how to fix it.

I would belive that they are experiencing server problem and therefore the client can't load the account's playlists correctly. Wait until you can succeed to turn on online mode again and see if it gets better then... Right now, I am having the same problems...

It's online again, but still no playlists. Also, when I click on my profile there's just blank white screen...

dude, u'r making me nervous.. I am still offline but I would guess ur white profile page would be because of the server troubles...

I have the exact same problem....

Hopefully they will get it fixed, otherwise I will be heartbroken..
So much time put into the playlists...

I have exactly the same problem! About an hour ago my Spotify kind of stopped responding, it showed I was offline when I in fact wasn't. Restarting wouldn't help and just like in your case, re-installing only made it worse. I am still offline, no playlists and upon checking my Spotify on another computer both problems were still there. Due to being offline I can't even go to re-collect the songs I had on my playlist, so now I literally have nothing to listen to 😞

Fun fact, spotify on my iPhone haven't been affected, yet....
I still got my playlist etc. on there but when it comes to my computer everthing is just dead...

Hi,

There is an issue at the moment encompassing many countries with Spotify; hopefully it will be fixed soon.

As for your missing playlists; this sounds like an issue described in this topic.

Already went through those steps, nothing helps.
Hopefully the will get the situation under control soon...

Thanks for the information though!

It wouldn't work for me, I created my Spotify account about 2 months ago, not years...

The method on the thread linked above doesn't work... I am not able to do anything with my Spotify when it's down so nothing really helps.

It's giving me error codes all the time... Nothing's happening but people are tweeting about it a lot, seems to be a widespread problem.

I got some of my playlists back now, but everything is still offline...
Well I can stand waiting on the servers as long as I am certain my playlists wont disappear!

Hi guys and gals

This hahs happened to me too.  Halfway through a playlist, music stopped....got several error messages....then went into offline, can't get it back on, have restarted the PC...TWICE, then followed instructions from spotify help, deleted and reinstalled and guess what...........NO BLOODY PLAYLISTS!!! I can only hope I can get them back via my phone.  Its not the first time this has happened, but last time I got all my playlists back..........................................................What is being done abouot this, a tenner a month for a premium service might not seem a lot, but it is to me.....I only lost my husbamd recently and there was a great deal of music that meant a lot to us in his final days??

I still haven't gotten anything back... I lost some really meaningful music, hopefully the playlists can be restored. Would be quite a journey to re-build them all.

I am now able to access the top lists, so there is some progress apparently, but still no change in the situation of my own playlists.

I cant even listen to any music :'(

Thank god that i'm not the only one in trouble. Well I've turned on the computer and the spotify my internet is correctly functioning but Spotify was "telling" me that I was offline because I didn't have an internet connection. I uninstalled Spotify and then I couldn't even Log In, after a while I managed to log in but it says spotify can't work Offline (I'm not premium, just have the free version) and there's a message: Connection lost... error:114. I've already checked the list of permissions of the firewall but there's no problem. And I've lost the playlists and the songs I've stared. There's a change of this being a problem at Spotify level, not a problem with our account or something like that?

Same happened to me. I put Spotify to offline mode because it causes lag when I'm playing and when I tried to put it back online, it failed. Also uninstalled the program and all the 20-30 well made custom playlists.. GONE! I really hope I can get those playlists back or I finally say goodbye to Spotify and this coming from a loyal subscriber who just renewed his Premium account yesterday.

Your playlists should be saved on the Spotify servers, don't worry they won't be lost!

It looks like the whole service is currently down meaning your client won't have been able to connect to download your playlist data after you reinstalled.
