My Question or Issue

I logged into my account and saw that I can't play a single song and absolutely all playlists are empty. I don't know what this could be connected with. Moreover, this problem is only in the application. There is no such problem on the website. What should I do to fix my account? I have already reinstalled the app.

Hey everyone,

 

We've passed your details on to the right team for further investigation. In the meantime, we highly recommend that you try a reinstall from the Play store whenever it's convenient to you, as that has been the confirmed fix for the issues you're experiencing.

Encountered this issue today. 

Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Android 15, Spotify Free, Singapore.

Before anyone suggest updating my location or a clean install again, no my location has never changed. I've never travelled for over 5yrs. My account settings are correct And I just installed the latest version 2 minutes ago.

 

The web version works. Not the app. I wish Spotify would adopt a proper ticketing system to log all the issues, instead of following in the footsteps of mediocre Meta and Google.

Did you actually read what I wrote, or did you just copy and paste a generic reply? Everything you mentioned has already been covered in my original post — and not just by me, but by several other users as well. None of your suggestions are relevant or helpful in this case.

There has been no change of region, no travelling abroad, and no VPN usage.
A new account works perfectly, while the old one does not.
The app is freshly installed using your "full reinstall" guide.
The region has not changed since the profile was created years ago.

All of this has already been tried and confirmed, including checking the account settings directly and through backend inspection.

When you say, "If you are a Premium subscriber, I also suggest doing a full reinstall..." — you’re clearly showing you didn’t read a word of what was written.

Please take this seriously. This is a persistent issue affecting many users and deserves more than a copy-paste response.

 

Guys whomever having the problem you can report to Spotify support. I was having the problem for two days and I reported and they followed me and helped me every solutions and finally they recovered. For sure it is working guys . Try it

My Question or Issue:

Hi! Same problem here, it's been going on for 3 days. Everything works on other devices including TV and laptop, but not the app on my phone. My playlists appear empty and I cannot play anything.

Issue is fixed for me. My friend from Poland had similar issue and it started working for him at the same time.

I launched app again and it refreshed albums and now it displays songs correctly.

It was clearly something on server side, no action on my side helped.

Absolutely garbage resolution from Spotify.. the app needs restored to old versions to get it working again.. I done as they told me. Clear data clear cache uninstall, turn phone off not just reboot then reinstall and should be sorted.. well it didn't now guy said we done all we can I have send your details to team for investigation?

I have the same problem but I'm on an android. All playlists appear empty and all artists are gone. When I search for songs there aren't any. When I search for artists there aren't any. Even on other devices, the playlists show the songs in them but once I try to play them it just doesn't work.

Also in my opinion the problem is server side and the assistance yesterday made me waste a lot of time with useless attempts and taking data from my smartphone and Spotify version
I can see my playlists from the Windows app and not from my Android smartphone. I tried my account on my son’s iPhone and everything works. So I tried to create a new account and magically on my smartphone works without problems so the problem is not the smartphone.
The region has never changed on my profile, I have a OnePlus 13 CPH2653 updated to OxygenOS version 15.0.0.821 and the Spotify app is the latest (9.0.52.505). I also tried to downgrade the apkmirror version
The problem is definitely server side and the support in my opinion did not understand it. It’s useless to insist on updating the app and clean cache and data
What does it take to solve my problem?

Me ocurre exactamente igual, pero tengo android. Me salen todas las listas vacías pero a la hora de entrar en la web o en el ordenador me aparecen perfectamente y me funcionan correctamente. Antes de que me sucediera si que me percaté de que a la hora de reproducirlas comenzaban a pasarse solas las canciones sin darle tiempo a reproducirse.

He probado incluso a dejarla desinstalada un tiempo pero no he logrado nada.

Tengo un vivo y52 5G y tengo la versión gratuita de Spotify 

My other account does not have any issue with songs playlist,but my main account does not show any songs even my liked songs are all gone!!I'm using the same device and the latest version for both

My Question or Issue

So i think i have been shadowbanned by spotify, because i got an empty playlist, cant play songs and when i search for any song or artist, none come up. I havent gotten any notificiation about a ban, and i made another account using the same app and on that account i can make normal playlists play songs and search for songs/artists, leading to me thinking im shadowbanned.

Does anyone have an idea if i can confirm this? Or revert it? Never posted music nor used those sketchy "free sporify premium" apps.

I am having the same problem, and my country is the same as my location currently. I've already cleared cache and reset my phone as well as reinstalling spotify. I've also made user my software and spotify were up to date. Is there any other solution available?

Same here. I've done everything and it's so frustrating. All playlists empty, even ones they offer to me. Can't search anything, says it can't find it even if I search well known bands. Can't play music. I did reinstalls, clean reinstalls, restarted phone, logged out, never changed region, updated region to the one I've always been in. I've logged in and out. Only on mobile. My desktop works great. However, make a new account and suddenly things work? But all my playlists I've saved are on my real account that won't work. 

Same problem. I tried all of the fixes the mods have mentioned and none of them worked for me.
