Apple App Store should have same subscription pricing as Spotify website.

Why does Spltify has different pricing on the App Store vs. their own site? 12.99 vs 9.99? Lastly why would you then ask to go through all the hoops to get a refund to then in turn sign up again for premium via the site. Too much fuss. Any way to fix this in the future?

Maybe because Apple's App store takes a 30% cut of the revenue. Spotify probably does not want to part with this as they already have a razor thin margins. If you sign up on the website, the price is $9.99.
