Are chip cards able to be used on spotify or is if just my card?

I had a VISA through my bank, then my bank switched to the new and improved chip cards. I now have a master card with a chip and every time I try to update my details sportify says...

It looks like your card is from a non-Spotify country.

Unfortunately we haven't launched in this country yet. You need to use a card issued in a Spotify launched market.

This is obviously isn't accurate because with my other card from the same country (the US) worked just fine. If anyone found a solution to this that would be very helpful for me.

Anyone solve this problem ?? Same exact thing, card worked in my area (Guam) and new ones with a chip came out now it won't let me go premium says non Spotify country
