Are minutes counted when Spotify is playing on another device?

Hi there!

When I listen to music on another device (e.g. speaker), it doesn't show on Friend Activity. However, if I'm playing directly from my laptop and phone, it shows. Why is that?

Also, do minutes listened to on another device also count towards Spotify Wrapped?

Unfortunately, it is an expected behavior that Friend Activity only shows when a Spotify user streams directly on a device; while using Spotify Connect to listen on another device, the streams of songs won’t show to your followers in Friend Activity. You can read more about this in this thread. However, there is an Idea for this that has been recently submitted, here, which you can feel free to add your +VOTE for; the more votes an Idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it; and you can read more about how feedback on Ideas reaches Spotify here.

Yes, minutes listened to music on Spotify on another device count towards the total minutes reflected on Spotify Wrapped; there is currently a Live Idea in the Ideas Exchange of the Spotify Community regarding excluding devices from Wrapped statistics, here. If this is something that you're interested in, you can feel free to add your +VOTE to it also.
