Bank error, unable to withdraw funds

Hello!

I have recieved the error message: "Spotify has been unable to withdraw funds from your account due to a bank error. To ensure that your Spotify Unlimited subscription does not expire please contact your card issuer."

I don't know why that happened. The card is registered to the same country as the one that I'm in (Sweden). There's money on the card.

The bank is Nordea, if that has anything to do with anything.

Thanks in advance, acmfan

Do you think i have to do a new subscription, since the renewal day has passed?

Also, will it still pay directly, or do i have to feed money into paypal?

As long as you are using the same account as before, just subscribe again using paypal and it will do the rest.

The PayPal should be a rolling subscription just like before, it will charge your card/bank account each month.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

This is not the first issue with Nordea I have come across, it appears their security systems will not allow Spotify recurring payments to go through.

Have a read at this topic which has a few suggestions and work arounds.

You could try! 😉 how long did you have premium for before this error?

It is actually just Unlimited, and i've had it one month.

My guess would be then that if you are going down to resubscribe route, you will need to do it every month if the recurring payment won't go through. I was going to suggest you buy yourself an eCard, but they are redeemable for premium only 😞

You could try using paypal with the same card linked to the account?

MY BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER HAS CHANGED, AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT MY NEXT MONTHLY PAYMENT GOES THROUGH. I ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PLAYLISTS I HAVE WILL NOT BE DELETED. LET ME KNOW HOW TO NOTIFY SPOTIFY THAT I HAVE A NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER SO THAT THEY'LL GET THE MONEY WHEN THEY TAKE THE AUTO PAY NEXT TIME A BILL IS DUE.

No need to post all in caps! Sooo hard to read haha!

You can update your payment details from your online account 😉
