Being Charged $10.99 for Premium?

Being Charged $10.99 for Premium?

I just got to looking at my credit card statement and as of last month I started getting charged $10.99 for Premium instead of $9.99. The account billing page says:

 

You have an active Spotify Premium subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged $9.99 on 2013-09-28 unless you cancel your recurring payment.

 

However, for 7-28 and 8-28 I've been charged $10.99. I never agreed nor saw anywhere that said I was about to be charged more. I've been a Premium subscriber since 2011-10-28 for $9.99... what's going on????

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

I suggest you submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify can check what's happening, and also they should be able to refund you the excess you were charged.
If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Just out of interest how much do your online receipts show you are being billed?

I just noticed the same thing. On my credit card statement, it says Spotify is charging me 10.99. I know it's only a dollar, but it's the point that I did not agree to it. I just sent the complaint. Hopefully it goes back to 9.99 or I might have to cancel.

If you are resident in a state which has sales tax applied to goods, then Spotify may be applying sales tax to your subscription (which is required by law). The changes came in a while back, if any changes to the price of your subscription where introduced, you should have received an email from Spotify to inform you of the changes.
