Being charged even though I'm on Spotify free

Being charged even though I'm on Spotify free

Spotify has been charging me monthly for the past 5 months without me being subscribed. The website says I am on Spotify free and it has done the entire 5 months so I know I have unsubscribed but I have tried almost everything else including emailing Spotify in which their reply was to go onto the Spotify community and look again.i use Spotify regularly but only when I am connected to the internet which is the reason I unsubscribed in the first place.

Hey @user-removed,

 

Did you get email receipts from previous subscription purchases? Search for one of them in your email account. In it, the Spotify username you paid for is shown:

 

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

If you're getting charged after you cancelled, it probably means you're paying a different account. Checking your receipts is a way to confirm that.

 
Since you already got the automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
