Benutzer Name besteht aus Zahlen

Ich wollte mir heute  einen zweiten Account machen um meinen Benutzernamen zu ändern, da mein alter mir nicht gefällt.

Dabei habe ich dann meinen gewünschten Namen bei der Registrierung eingegeben.

Als ich später aber auf mein Profil geschaut habe, habe ich nur random Zahlen und Buchstaben gesehen. Es ist kein Anzeige Fehler und wird auch so bei anderen Nutzern angezeigt. Ich würde gerne wissen weshalb dies so ist und was sich zu früher geändert hat. Denn bei meinem alten Account konnte ich ja auch einen Namen wählen. Mich mit Facebook zu verknüpfen ist für mich gar keine Lösung. Warum macht Spotify das. Der Name gehört zu meiner Identität auf Spotify und ist damit für mich und andere sehr wichtig um sich wohlzufühlen. Ich hoffe das dieses Problem behoben wird um das gute Nutzungserlebnis wieder zu bekommen.

Vor ein paar Jahren hat Spotify das Feature entfernt seinen Namen sich selbst aussuchen zu können. Jetzt musst du deinen Account mit Facebook verknüpfen, damit du deinen Namen ändern kannst.

Schade, aber sonstige Möglichkeiten gibt es auch nicht.

First, keep in mind that you should be able to update the date of birth registered on your original Spotify account by following these steps:

1. Log in to your account page.
2. Click EDIT PROFILE.
3. Enter your new details and click SAVE.

On another note, usernames are automatically generated and are usually a string of random numbers and letters. This would explain why you're seeing that as your new account's username. 

There's no need to remember this username to access your account. You can log in with your email address and password.

Further, during sign up, you should be prompted to enter a preferred name to display on your profile. While you can't use this display name to log in your account, this is how your friends can find you on Spotify.

If you didn't choose a display name or entered one incorrectly, you can always create a new account to enter a preferred name during sign up. There's more info here.

You can always follow the steps provided in this Spotify Answer to transfer your playlists, saved music and people you follow over to the account you wish to keep. To avoid confusion, we'd also suggest following the steps here in order to close any other accounts.
